Our Story
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
ABOUT NICK
“I think of the artists who will come here, hearts full, voices loud and excited to grow into the great artist (and person) they are meant to grow into. I pinch myself at how lucky I am to be able to help them realize that greatness and realize their dream.”

With over 15 year of experience as a producer and more than 30 years as a professional musician, Nick Bullock knows the importance of music and high-quality recordings.
I help artists, songwriters, musicians and bands realize their full potential. By serving the song, and honoring your vision we create music that genuinely moves people, and helps you achieve your personal and professional goals. My work has been featured in commercials, on network TV, in podcasts and in film.
Really I am many things, like all of us, but for the sake of the here and now, I'll say that I am a producer, an engineer, a musician, a cheerleader, and a recording enthusiast.
One of the many things I was taught as a young man was to follow my curiosity. That led me to music school, to my band of ten years (and over fifteen hundred shows all over the world), and to my love of recording today. Asking questions and discovering answers has given me a wonderful life and an ever inspiring relationship with music, and the artists I work with. Thankfully, there is no destination on this path, only growth.
Whether I'm producing a project, or writing with an artist, or sitting at the console mixing a record, everyday I do my best to live by some pretty simple principles; be honest, be present, try to learn something new, help others dig deep to be the best version of themselves they can be, and when in doubt, always reference a Beatles or Stones song (not kidding).
So here I am, ten year into living in Nashville TN, married to the love of my life, Meredith (an amazingly talented visual artist), with three incredible (and curious) boys. I’m building my very own, dream come true recording studio, Freda Recording, named after my Grandmother. I currently work out of one of the greatest studios in the world (Dog House Studio owned by the legend, good friend and my mentor Neal Cappellino). Each day is a gift. I'm eternally grateful that I get to create music with some of the best people in the world.
When I changed my email signature to read Creative Director & Co-Founder of Freda Recording, I never imagined writing that title or having a place at this table with my husband.
I’ve had many titles–hairstylist, artist, designer, coach, consultant–and now creative director. With every title comes a certain set of expectations and skills, but what I’ve learned over the years is that a title does not define me, it does not limit me, and it does not equal my potential.
Our imagination, our dreams, and our abilities are truly endless. What we’re capable of is beyond our comprehension. Our vision to create this recording studio is only a fraction of a bigger picture that we have no control over. Our title is only a fraction of our potential.
When you find yourself thinking what am I doing with my life? (which I have found myself asking that very question many times) remember your dreams, remember your innate talent, and remember your endless potential.
"If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it."-William Arthur Ward.
